We are an organization that promotes and supports youth in a sound philosophy of education that allows for interscholastic cross country, track and field competition. The John Tobin Wingate Memorial Scholarship Award is intended to recognize a scholar-athletes’ outstanding achievements in the classroom, in the community and on the trails.
This award is open to graduating seniors in good standing on their high school’s cross country team; who will be attending college in the fall; have been considered Cross Country All-Stars who demonstrate a commitment to excel in these areas. SI Elite Committee will select one female student-athlete and one male student-athlete to receive the scholarship award.
SI Elite Track & Field will present the winners with an award during the Staten Island High School Coaches All-Star & Awards Dinner or the School’s Award Ceremony.
